Compassion & Justice

We are reaching out with compassion and justice!

Global Village Market

Greenland Hills hosts the Global Village Market the first weekend in November each year, partnering with over thirty non-profits around the world for an amazing two-day event that brings together charitable organizations and fair-trade retailers to offer a truly unique holiday shopping experience.  The first Saturday in November the Global Village Market is held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with homemade pies for sale and the first Sunday in November the Global Village Market is held from noon - 3:00 p.m. with the Easy Slider food truck. In 2021, we celebrated fifteen years of the Global Village Market supporting nonprofits such as Casita No. 8, Chase’s Place, Congo Restoration, EARS, Emanuel Community Center, Equal Exchange Fair Trade, Honduras Threads, Kids Against Hunger, Marfa Ministries, Mommies in Need, ODIM, Operacion Abrigo, Paper for Water, Planned Parenthood, Purpose Global Village, Refugee Services of Texas, Spreading the Warmth, Ten Thousand Villages, Texas Paw Prints, Vickery Trading Company

Locally
We partner with local organizations to make a difference in our community.

  • Emanuel Community Center provides a sack of groceries each week for over 150 homeless and low-income families in East Dallas. The ECC also hosts a Back-to-School Carnival each summer to celebrate the start to a new year and to give away backpacks and school supplies for children in the area.

  • The Reconciling Ministries Network helps to create a space at the table for all God's children regardless of sexual orientations and gender identities. See the letter that was sent out when we affiliated with the Network here.

Globally
We travel each year over Martin Luther King Jr. or Presidents Day weekend to Juarez, Mexico, where we build a cinder block home with families living without safe housing. We partner with Operación Abrigo and experience God's grace through the people we meet and the work we do.

We also have relationships with other global ministries like Congo Restoration and Equal Exchange that we support at our Global Village Market.
